เกาะมหัศจรรย์บนผืนหญ้าลอยน้ำ/Amazing Islands of Reeds

ต้นหญ้านับล้านเติบโตสอดสานผ่านการทับถมนานวันจนคล้ายแผ่นดินลอยน้ำ ชาวบ้านท้องถิ่นเรียกขานกายภาพของพื้นที่แปลกตานี้ว่า “แพหญ้าหนังหมา” หรือ “แพหนังหมา” นอกเหนือจากความน่ามหัศจรรย์ที่นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถขึ้นไปเดินเล่นบนแพผืนหญ้ากลางบึงน้ำจืดแห่งนี้ได้อย่างอิสระแล้ว คือการได้เรียนรู้ความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพของสังคมป่าพรุที่ซุกซ่อนอยู่ในสวนพฤกษศาสตร์ระยอง
These clusters of reeds and grasses that have grown together, tangled and bonded until they form the floating islands are known by the locals as ‘reed rafts’. The floating masses of dense grass are easily able to support the weight of visitors who walk over them while they explore and investigate the arboretum.
